Ingredients

For the Tacos:

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking

For the Big Mac Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • Sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Make the Big Mac Sauce:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Prepare the Beef Patties:

  • Divide the ground beef into 6 equal portions. Roll each into a ball and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Smash the Beef onto Tortillas: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place a tortilla on a flat surface and press a beef portion onto one side of the tortilla, spreading it thinly.

Cook the Tacos:

  • Drizzle a bit of oil on the hot skillet. Place the tacos beef-side down and press down with a spatula to smash the meat into the tortilla. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the beef is browned and crispy.
  • Flip and Add Cheese: Flip the taco so the tortilla side is down. Place a slice of American cheese on top of the beef. Let it melt while the tortilla crisps up, about 1-2 minutes.

Assemble the Tacos:

  • Remove from the heat and top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced pickles, and onions. Drizzle with the Big Mac sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds for an authentic Big Mac feel.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side for dipping!
